AC/heat unit, electric and gas, ceiling fans, new paint, attic fan, front and back concrete porches. 2 car garage with remote door openers. A storage bldg. and a shed for the boat (Hot Springs and Lake Ouachita are 45-50 minutes away) or other storage.
The community shows lots of green trees and yards instead of concrete, the lot across the street has been empty forever offering a nice view from my large LR window. It is not a "cookie-cutter" group of houses just alike. There are other open areas, fields where people 4 wheel or dirt bike, stores, churches, and a city park. Police/city office, fire station are within a few blocks. This gives us a cheap insurance rate. It might remind one of Mayberry where everyone is welcome. The neighbors have been great to me and like me, have resided here for decades. If you drove here on a Saturday afternoon, you would likely see folks out, walking on the sidewalk and visiting while their others jog with their leased dogs or ride bikes. Only one block from Pulaski county, this home in Saline county, where it has earned the reputation for cheaper taxes. Shannon Hills water is highly rated with one of the best water systems. The neighbors have been great to me and like me, have resided here for decades. The city offers monthly meetings for their citizens' concerns.The community often has celebrations down the street near the stores. Halloween near the local pizza restaurant in the parking lot has often offered a hot dog party, cake walks, a spooky house, or a hayride behind the old truck, down the back trail where stuffed scarecrows fall around you from the trees. The church two blocks away is recognized as the most enormous Easter Egg Hunt in the region.
I bought the house new in 1993 and we are ready to move on. We desire another home in a warmer climate so I can't owner finance.
